As you will soon see I am not an artist who sticks to one medium.
I enjoy the fluidity of watercolors and the control of the pen. Together they make a great team and work well for my style.
I also enjoy painting on canvas. I usually work with a black canvas and go in with color leaving the black here and there. I love how the color POPS!
Jewelry design has also become a passion whether it is working with copper or stringing together all kinds of things to make my "ART VooDoo Necklaces or tearing apart vintage costume pieces and making them "in style" again.
A little about me...
I am a native of Mobile, AL and at an early age moved to South Florida. Hollywood to be exact, where I fell in love with the subtropical landscape.
We've made it full circle now and are back in LA (that's lower Alabama) and getting to know my hometown and surrounding areas again. I live in Spanish Fort, AL with my best friend and husband Dug (There is a link to his artsite under "check this out") and 4 cats...Poco, Sammy, Lola and Mazey.
You'll notice right away that a lot of my inspiration in my painting and drawing comes from nature.
My art is not a brooding dark art. It is here to urge you to smile, hopefully.
